Teach Yourself How To SEO

I’ll be honest this site has terrible SEO. I know this cause I just read up and learnt the things I was doing wrong from the resource I have been reading up recently, there transparency!

I need to spend a few days optimising the site and I am planning to do as as soon as I have some free time. Got a lot on my plate. I however found the below list too good to be hoarding to myself.

So I thought I release this not only as a reminder for myself to get this sorted but also cause I believe knowledge like this deserves to be shared! I’m good like that with you.

Basics what is SEO:

We have a few SEO partners and they basically tell us that this is what they spend most of their time doing?

  • Content Creation - Create SEO friendly content either in house of freelancers

  • On page SEO - Make sure that all content on the blog is optimised for the big G and links between blogs work and rightly labelled.

  • Technical SEO -this gets a bit nerdy but if the SEO team doesn’t work closely with the web development team things and best practice may not be followed.

  • SEO Strategy - Simply conducting keyword research so whenever a user is searching for something the first thing that comes up is your site.

  • Link-building - Essentially working with other sites that are relevant to build links back to your site. Still the best strategy/ signal to let google know you are the right site for XYZ content.

I know, I know the above is barely scratching the surface but I hope this will help anyone wanting to learning about the world of SEO.

We will be looking at the above guides ourselves to optimise this site for SEO in the hopefully not too distant future.
